Mara Fig Tree Camp
Mara Fig Tree Safari Camp is located on the banks of the Talek River, a tributary of the Mara river in the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp is situated on the northern border of the national reserve and its central location makes all areas of the reserve accessible during game drives.
At the Fig Tree Safari Camp accommodation is offered in 38 luxury safari tents overlooking the Talek River, each with a double and a single bed. There are also 10 superior ‘Ngamboli Super Luxury Tents’, also on the banks of the river; or 22 ‘Garden Chalets’ also with double and single beds. All rooms/tents are ensuite with private balcony and generator electricity.
Facilities at the Fig Tree camp include two bars, a main dinning room, an open-air dinning area and a tree house coffee deck. Also available is a video room, guest lecture facilities, swimming pool and curio shop. The camp has a resident nurse and medical clinic.
Guest Lectures Our local naturalist is available to give guest free lectures and slide presentations on the Masai Mara ecosystem. Local Maasai dancers also entertain clients in the evening. Night safari drives available at additional costs.
