This African Wildlife safari from Nairobi goes to Masai Mara, the most famous and most visited
safari destination in Kenya. The Masai Mara offers breathtaking views and an
extra-ordinary density of wildlife including the "Big Five
game of Africa " - Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo and
many varieties of plains wildlife.
Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara
Our safari driver guide will pick you from your Nairobi hotel
and drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to
the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually
part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its
spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big
Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our
Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon safari game
drive to see the abundant wildlife of the Masai Mara.
The Mara Game Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses
of the world and a popular wildlife safari destination. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see.
Wildlife to be found in the park include: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland
and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both
Thomson's and grants Gazelles. Dinner and overnight in your
Masai Mara safari camp or lodge.
Maasai Mara – Nairobi
Early morning tea/coffee or Hot chocolate then depart in to
the Maasai Mara plains for a
morning safari game drive. Here we find the Old Africa of the
movies, with rolling grasslands dotted by acacia trees and
sweeping plains teeming with wildlife. No matter how much you
have thought about Africa, this is more than you expected—and
the ideal backdrop for a hot air balloon safari.
stay in the Mara we also have an opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people
(at extra cost) to witness the singing and dancing that are part
of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their
homes and social structure is a poignant experience.
After a full English breakfast back at the safari camp/lodge depart
the Masai Mara for
Nairobi by road arriving early afternoon.
